Dr David Smart A biblical approach to good mental health
David is an experienced Northampton based GP who for all of his career has championed improved support in primary care for those experiencing mental illness. A committed Christian, in his seminar David will be looking at the impact of COVID on the mental health of the nation, sharing key ways of promoting happier living and discussing what the church has to offer in this field.
Jenny Baines A pastoral response to unintended pregnancy and post abortion & A pastoral response to miscarriage and other baby loss*
In her two seminars, Jenny will be speaking about how churches can create an environment where sensitive issues can be shared with grace and compassionate understanding. Jenny has an extensive background of pastoral and counselling experience, based in both church and community settings. For 23 years, she and her late husband led three churches, serving the last one for 17 years. During this time, Jenny founded a successful women’s outreach ministry and a pregnancy crisis centre in the community. Both seminars will include an opportunity for reflection and prayer.
