  • Helen writes this about the series of talks she will be delivering at Keswick in Devon 2026:

Every era is marked by change, but the current rate seems particularly intense. It was only November 2022 when ChatGPT first came on the scene and now AI is one of the most talked about topics of our day. Global and local events are constantly in flux, prompting us to prayer and lament. Amid these challenges, we can sometimes lose sight of Jesus’ ongoing ministry and sovereign lordship.

Focusing on Jesus is Paul’s key concern as he writes his letter to the church in Colossae. This church faced challenges both internally and externally, including false teachings that threatened to pull believers away from the truth of the gospel. Paul addresses these issues from a variety of angles but has just one main theme: the sufficiency and supremacy of Jesus.

My hope is that, as we explore Paul’s letter together, we too will be struck afresh by Jesus’s greatness and grace. I hope too that by refocusing on Jesus, we gain fresh confidence in the gospel of Jesus and the role he calls us to play in communicating this good news in words and deeds
